概要(Abstract)
発達障害児を養育する母親の育児困難は多様であり,ライフステージごとに異なるニーズに合わせた支援の重要性が指摘されている。本研究は,学童期の知的障害を伴わない発達障害児を育てる母親の育児困難について,これまでの知見を明らかにすることを目的とした。海外文献はPubMed,PsycINFOを,国内文献は医学中央雑誌,CiNiiを用い,検索年は2005年から2019年,キーワードはPubMedおよびPsycINFOは「'developmental disorders', mother, parenting」,医学中央雑誌およびCiNiiは「発達障害,母親,育児」で検索した。最初に824件の文献が抽出され,除外基準と選択基準に基づき2回のスクリーニングを経て26 文献を分析対象とした。分析方法は,対象文献を2名の研究者で精読し,学童期の発達障害児を養育する母親の困難について記述された文を抽出し,類似性と相違性に着目して分類しカテゴリー化した。対象文献から148の文を抽出し,8カテゴリーに集約した。8カテゴリーは,〈周囲との関係に苦労〉〈家族との関係に苦労〉〈サポート希求〉〈学校生活への期待や不満〉〈交友関係について心配〉〈成長発達に伴う将来への不安〉〈子どもの特性に合わせた育児行動〉〈子どもの特性からくる母親自身の苦労〉であった。学童期に焦点を当てた研究は少なく,また,就業や自立,思春期の性などに関する困難についての詳細は不十分であり,今後の研究が必要であると考えられた。
Mothers raising school-age children with developmental disorders face a range of parenting challenges, and previous studies have highlighted the importance of providing support that is tailored according to their life stage. In the present study, we sought to clarify existing knowledge on the challenges that mothers face in raising school-age children with developmental disorders without intellectual disabilities. We used the PubMed, PsycINFO, Igaku Chuo Zasshi and CiNii databases to search the literature. Specifically, we searched for articles published between 2005 and 2019 using the keywords "developmental disorders," "mother," and "parenting" for non-Japanese literature, and using the equivalent Japanese keywords (i.e., "hattatsu shougai," "haha-oya," and "ikuji") for Japanese literature. Our initial search returned 824 relevant articles, which we then screened twice based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, resulting in the selection of 26 articles that we used in our analysis. Our method of analysis consisted of 2 researchers independently scrutinizing the selected articles to identify statements about the challenges faced by mothers raising school-age children with developmental disorders, and then categorizing the selected statements after considering their relative similarities and differences. Consequently, we identified 148 statements within the selected articles that pertained to the above-mentioned study theme. We extracted 8 categories: "Relationship difficulties with others," "Relationship difficulties with family members," "Desire for support," "Expectations and dissatisfaction about the child's school life," "Concern about the child's friendships and acquaintances," "Anxiety about the future as the child grows up," "Parenting behaviors catered to the child's individual traits," and "Difficulties that mothers face due to their child's individual traits".
These results suggest that school-age children and a lack of detailed findings on the challenges that mothers face with respect to issues such as their child's employment, independence, and pubescent sex, thus demonstrating the need for further research in the future.
